Sharda Mahavidyalaya Sarlanagar was founded in July 2005 and is leaping forward with the blessing of Goddess Maan Sharda Devi of Maihar and peers of management committee.The college is being run under the aegis of Sarlanagar Sikshan Samati . The aim of the college is to provide job oriented education to the students of rural and tribal areas of Vindhya Region particularly that of Maihar and Satna  to ultimately achieve the goals of zero unemployment among the educated youth in days to come.
